One of the biggest questions a parent might have is the old, “Is my child Normal or O.K?” You can almost feel them holding their breath when waiting for an answer to that kind of question. Most behavior problems children develop are very natural and can be easily transformed. IF and that is a big IF…
If you have the right tools and support. Times are changed. They are no longer Changing. They are completely changed and Still are Changing in Major ways and at a rate growing exponentially. It is not so easy to discipline or influence our children like it was before Tech.
Computers, cell-phones, video games, social networking, schucks even television has contributed to a whole new kind of child. An informed and advanced kind of child. A child that has had a wide array of options in entertainment, of conveinience, and also the right here right now society at their fingertips while growing up.
The instant gratification generation. A lot of time kids are just different than us because of this. Its normal now for a kid to be disconnected, detached, and into strange behavior patterns to find out what is what. So long as they are not hurting anyone or themselves its recommendable to give them space but watch from a safe distance.
However, the younger children need to be shown through patience, understanding and repitition. They need to be constantly reminded and shown with complete understanding that they are still new. Yet there are ways to help change things dramatically in your favor.
Now for the highlights and tips to parenting. As a means to “Break Through” to your children you will need to embrace what they are interested in. In as much as you can in order to achieve results.
Now about the way your child might be acting, this whole generation is a lot more introverted than generations just ten years back. So their are going to be some strange characteristics that you would think odd but is more than likely common to most children.
There are so many things you can do as a parent with a little imagination. Like using video on your phone to record your childs behavior then playing it back at appropriate times. When the children see how they are acting they will eventually learn to be more conscious of what they do. More willing to think first kind of thing.
Just one thing though, do not do or say anything negative or be taunting them. Like saying, “Look at that bad little Boy or girl or See how awful you are acting,” showing a bad attitude is not a good idea. Always with a smile. Have some fun with it and try not to be too serious. This will make sure they will not grow up to be Subconscious.
When a child is openly disobedient they are often trying to make a statement and are learning their limit of power. Testing the riegns so to speak. But in the ultimate end it is still the parent who is in control and the child instinctively looks to you the parent when in doubt or fear.
Showing the child how they acted later when they are calm and collected will have an impact. The more aware the child is that the behavior is a little insensitive the more aware they will be of learning how to improve on this and develop emotionally.
The bottom line here is you are the one in control even though at times you may not feel like it. Planning ahead studying up and keeping a reference all in one place will help you stay organized. Then when you always know best what to do, you build more confidence and feel a lot less stressful. Support is a huge part of the process and having a place to bounce ideas really works great.
In short, behavior problems children go through are always going to be something of a problem for parents. Staying well informed from trial and error along with tried and true makes a big difference in helping parents with disobedience. If parents can learn to be a little more objective and a little less judgemental they can operate within a better perspecitve and have a more controlled environement. Changing the misbehavior into Impressive cooperation and better family times.
